SBEU members seek justice through picket, originally uploaded by noki2u.
Sarawak Bank Employees Union (SBEU) was held to propose a picket against disparity in benefits accorded to its members compared to those in Peninsula Malaysia and Sabah.
The issues involved are that members of SBEU are not given salary adjustment like their counterparts in Sabah who were granted a two percent salary increase; the bank management had also granted Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) between RM100 and RM150 per month to employees in Peninsula Malaysia but not to bank employees in Sarawak.
Same picket were also held by SBEU branches in Kuching, Sibu, Bintulu, Miri, Sarikei and Limbang.
Added other course of action would include protest and industrial action against the bank management.
